Trivia Corner

 

During the 2002 filming of one of the scenes in Sweet Home Alabama, staring Reese Witherspoon and Josh Lucas, Jake's plane landed on Lake Peachtree in Peachtree City. It is illegal to land a plane on Lake Peachtree, and the movie company didn’t have permission.  They were fined $300 by the Peachtree City Police Department. 

 

Renowned Residents:

Bradley Reed Sorenson, NASCAR driver #41 for Nextel, was born in Peachtree City, 1996.
Tim Hudson, has been the starting pitcher for the Braves since 2005. 

Courtney Conaway, acoustic folk musician  

Jeff Sheppard, HS Basketball 1993 Player of the Year in Georgia at McIntosh High School, went on to receive Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Tournament in 1998.
