Peachtree City Attractions
Although it´s just 15 miles from the amenities and entertainment of big city Atlanta, Peachtree City has its own draws right around the corner from your next home.
The LakesThe town is centered around two lakes, Lake Kedron and, of course, Lake Peachtree. As such you can enjoy the best in waterfront views from your own home. It´s an ideal place for the avid fisher, swimmer or general nature lover. Many families enjoy picnics on the weekend so there´s always time to get to know your neighbor. The Peachtree City community of The Point on Lake Kedron is ideal for the water lover with many walking paths by the lake and lakefront properties.
Nature AreasYou can enter the Flat Creek wetlands via a cart path near Crosstown Road or a trail by the Fred Brown Amphitheater. This is 3.5 miles of some of the most beautiful Georgia wetlands. This is a must for every nature lover and a nice walk for folks just out for a little exercise. In the midst of this forested area, you´d never believe you were so close to the city!
Additionally, across from the MacDuff Parkway intersection is the Line Creek Nature area which features 70 acres of nature.
ParksThere are parks in almost every neighborhoods from Blue Smoke Park and Drake Field. There are also three community parks in Peachtree City. Flat Creek Nature Area is in the McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex which also features the William Davis BMX Track and many nature trails. For the sports fanatic you can´t get better than the Braelinn Recreation Complex which features many baseball fields and basketball courts among others.
The Fredrick Brown Jr. AmphitheaterIn McIntosh Trail Recreation Complex you´ll find the Fredrick Brown Jr. Amphitheater. From the Lexus Summer Concert Series to the Twilight Theater´s stage shows, there´s always something going on here. Enjoy a concert or a play in the beautiful Georgia landscape. |
